A recessed floor access cover is a steel frame set into the floor structure with an insert tray that holds the floor finish material — tile, wood, stone, or concrete. When closed, the surface is completely flush with the surrounding floor.
How deep is the insert tray?
The tray depth is customised to match your flooring system. We accommodate standard tile installations (10–30mm), engineered timber boards (8–22mm), and natural stone (15–40mm). Provide your floor finish and thickness and we will design accordingly.
Are recessed covers suitable for high-traffic areas?
Yes. Our recessed covers are available in standard pedestrian, light commercial, and heavy-duty grades. The frame profile and steel gauge are selected based on your expected load.
Can I specify the opening mechanism?
Yes. Options include piano hinges, gas struts, electric lift, or a removable panel with flush-pull. We will recommend the most suitable mechanism based on your access frequency and load requirements.
Do you supply installation instructions?
